New user, Old player, With a New problem

Well this is my first time on the board, i found it out looking on FFXI for a Summoners/WHM mage. I've been playing FFXI since about launch on PS2, I've stopped for a while like 2 years and recently started back since i have my issues worked out, But i've been hit with a problem. I work at gamestop, and my boss plays as well too, he offered me a Lv 70 Whm on his server to play with him, as I've been loving Tankin with WAR so far and liking Melee jobs, i've been studing up on Mages and played a few times on that account he gave me and playing fairly well with it,(of course not at lv 70, at the dunes with another job). Should i give up my fairly weak broke war for a high lv70 whm, the account hasnt been maxed out or anything like that, it still needs work, like getting other jobs, like PLD,ect. and the new ones, fairly high craffting in Food and fishin. I'm liking this account better than my War, but then i have the issue of people askin me where i got the account and such, i dont want to be ignored or banned because of it, it wasnt hacked or anything, it was the person quit the game so they gave the account around.

I've been reading how how to party with mages and all that good stuff around the forums, So my Question to you is...

Should i make the Full switch? Anyone willing to help me learn the ropes with hand-on? or should i give that account up and stick to what i got? I'm leaning towards the switch since there are alot of jobs untouched, exepted 49 blm and 57 Bst and some high lved bard.

It really depends on what sort of player you are. If you have no intention of playing the jobs that are already levelled, or if you are someone who likes doing things for themselves, then don't switch.

If you don't care about these things, and think you can learn the ropes on the existing jobs, then it should be ok (as long as you let people know that you're not the original owner of that account). Just bear in mind that there are a lot of experiences that you're going to miss out on having not brought those jobs up from the beginning - it's very hard to correct bad playing style if you don't realize you have a problem.

Personally, I'd love to have a 75WHM and BLM on my account. I'd probably just use them to scoot around the world and farm, as I love my Monk more than any other job.

I'd recomend one thing though, if you do take the account: switch nations. That way you can do the missions from the begining.
