You got banned from Alla, Feba? Was it because you pointed people to this board, or because of something else?

Hmm. Anyway. I might get flamed for saying this, but here goes: bizarre as it seems, I ended up with the "sage" status (heh, status, whatever, your-name-in-red) on Alla, despite only posting a very few posts here and there. And despite the fact I'd actually spoken out against the whole rating system in the first place...

The things I really disliked about Alla were: the rating system (it seemed like a law unto itself and had nothing to do with good content, or good karma) and the postcount mentality. They reminded me of the aspects of FFXI that I don't enjoy either - the player-created L33t focus on specific "de facto" items; the cliqueness versus helping others, oh, all that jazz.

Finally, what made Alla a bit of a difficult environment for me was the incredibly large volume of low-content posts that flooded the boards. It was really hard for me to keep up!

This community seems like a breath of fresh air. I am sure it has its flaws, and yes, it may not have as many stickied guides written by players, but those are minor details.

I hope to be able to stay here and hope to get to know many of you here and in game.

I didn't post much on Alla. My server's biggest forum community is on KI, but I brought my WHM AF guide over here. Hope that helps out the readers here. That thread was on Allakhazam for 2 years and I was able to take it down without hesitation.

I just started to notice that Alla is censoring some comments (info on items and such) due to IGE. I dont mean anti-IGE stuff, I mean posts that dont even mention the company
