I am still somewhat undecided, but I figured this is a good excuse to finally create an account here (unless I have another one I've completely forgotten about).

I've read this site and forums since before FFXI was out in NA. I was originally going to get the game in Japanese, because I'm currently studying Japanese and didn't want to wait for the domestic release, but I ended up unable to justify the cost of the game and Zilart plus shipping.

Anyway, I'm glad I finally registered, and depending on how things go over, I look forward to actually posting here in the future.

I enjoyed the good Friday threads. The ones where there was effort put into it, and an attempt to make people smile. It's just that there were way too many that were nothing more than some half-baked gotcha title that was usually just thinly-disguised bitching about drama-of-the-week.
