Need help switching from PS2 to PC

Hopefully this will make sense.

My boyfriend originally bought the PC version of FFXI a few months ago, but our computer couldn't handle it. So he got the PS2 version and used the POL ID that came with it. Then I wanted my own account (I wanted to play on a different server), so I used the registration codes from the PC version and made a 2nd account on the PS2.

Now, we both want to be able to play at the same time, so we upgraded the PC. Are we going to have to buy the game all over again for the PC, or is there a way for him to move his account that is now on the PS2 onto the PC?

you have 2 accounts, 1 for yourself and 1 for your bf right? FFXI account is universal. Meaning you can use it to log into the game from any version. PC PS2 JP NA UE doesn't matter. Now that you already have the PC version, just install it and you can use both the accounts you have to play on it right away

ok if i made a account but i my ps2 was broken is there anyway i can get my old account back now that i got a new ps2?

Just log on with your account info ;o
