drop down menu in posts

i feel lame for asking this but, what is the tag for the hideable drop down list?
i see it in posts and signatures. it has a little arrow sorta like this; [>] and when you click on it a drop down box appears! thanks in advanced.

you mean this:

some text

it's the spoiler tag

spoiler=some text gives you some text that is visible and anything else in the tag will be hidden.
