Are you kidding? That's one of the things I love about DiV.

Sometimes all the response a post warrants is a simple "no". People are going to make those sorts of posts regardless. All a minimum post length does is get people to add arbitrary characters after their post until it meets the minimum character criteria.

Yep, another forum I used to visit was the same way. It was just a waste of time/annoying for everyone.

There's a system I've seen on other forums, ravelry I think, where you can rate a post as being funny, awesome, insightful, informative, etc etc, each of which could be searched for individually. In a perfect world I'd like to have something more like that.
