Thread Titles from Members on Ignore List

Is there any way that the system can be worked so that those thread titles are blocked? It would only make sense, considering that it would aid one that would bother adding that person to the ignore list in the first place.

Its something only our admins can check. I'll see if I can get their attention.

edit, I've emailed both of our most immediate admins to see if they can do something about that, IIRC it is not the first time it has been requested... hm

Well when I click New Posts and see any new threads, I always look at the name of the person that made it right underneath the title. If I'd want to ignore that person I just wouldn't click on it.

TheGrandMom, this isn't a matter of not opening the threads, so much as a matter of "I want to ignore this person so hard that I won't even be able to see the dribble they use as their thread titles."

I personally don't want to see their replies to me quoted by others, but that would have to be a coding nightmare.

That wouldn't be a coding nightmare, but it would be impossible in some situations.

A quote tag may or may not contain the username of the original poster. If it does contain, filtering it out is easy, but if it doesn't there's nothing that can be done since there's nothing there to associate with a user.

That's not entirely true.

Someone could, in theory, write a program to parse all the text and associate it with the person who originally posted it and recognize subsequent quotes, both full and partial. It could be done, but the debugging along with the overhead it would create makes it completely and totally impractical to ever implement.
