Okay what's up with Sigs lately?

It used to be that I could put in URLs for various things just find, but lately any time I try to put in anything it says "BB URL code not allowed".

What the hell is this and why the change?

My memory on the topic is a little hazy, but I think URL linking from sigs was disabled to stop spammers from providing links on every post via their signatures, bypassing the no-linking-for-new-members rule.

the original post count you needed was like 20 or something so it shouldn't be effecting anyone, also it was disabled for some reason during pings update new posters were able to posy links dunno why you all arent able to.

The rest doesn't bother me, but this mean you can't put links in there either, Sevv. The links will stay until you try to make a change, which is how I found out about it. It's just globally disabled.

Also odd, PiNG's profile is set to not allow PMs. I could understand if this is because he's busy, but it seems odd not to make a note of it.

Mayhap someone made some slightly reckless changes to the site?

I think I've fixed this. Everyone with 30 days of membership and 100 posts should be able to use urls in their sigs again now whereas others cannot.
