what is "Reputation" on my CP?

on my cp page, and over there to the left of this post, i have reputation with a colored dot that has a phrase if you mouseover it

in my case it's red (because i failed a Thief!) and it says "you can only hope to improve"

what is this stat? how does it change? what does it affect?

it's your reputation bar as you get good ratings on your posts, and have good feed backs, it raises. anything bad thigns you do it goes down. like short spaming , etc, it'll make yours go down, but long thoughtful posts will raise them.

no, just takes time. spam meaning "ok" , "lol", "no", etc

So instead of saying something like "ok" in a post, just reformat it to like, "Ahhh, I understand what you're talking about, Mr. Person I'm replying to. I'll be sure to keep that in mind the next time the circumstance comes up."

if it's just based on your own posts, it will be fine. however, the concern I've brought up before, are the rep trolls (a la allakazham).

i tried to steal 39 gil. now i have -38 rep (i assume i started with 1 and lost 39 for the failed steal).
