Support for Square Europe Petition?

Hi, I have written PM to the Administrators several times now and I just like to know if you like to support this petition with a little newsarticle at the frontpage of FFXIOnline.com . Thanks

Hello RPG-Fans!

I don't know where you actually live, in which town or country, but can you imagine the conditions in Europe, European RPG-Gamers have to suffer from?
Belonging to the PAL-region we got the PAL-boarders - big, fat, black boarders on the TV screen. It looks like this http://www.squarenet.info/display.ph...enshots&id=913 . The whole visible screen is compressed and the characters faces for example are squeezed.

Due to the bad conversions and a missing 60hz mode, the PAL-game is 20% slower than the NTSC version.

Next thing - Translations. The translation of FF 7 was terrible and even FFX hasn't become that much better - the formulations are too colloquial and base on the japanese script (so they don't fit to the english synchros).

Don't forget the release dates as well. Okay, we have different languages here in Europe, plenty. But why isn't the team able to start a conversion parallel to the US-Version? We have to wait nearly 1 year after the Japanese release, that's a half year behind you until we get the game.

And the customer service of Square Europe is not what you can call "nice". The official European site is a joke! Some sections are still from 2001, there is no real community and if you write a e-mail to them, you won't get a answer in years!

You maybe like FF that much, that you want merchandise products......in Europe? - Impossible!!


So what I want to point out: This shouldn't go on! We demand a change for Europe! 10,6 million PS2 consoles are momentarily sold in the European Union. That is nearly a quarter of the worldwide sales. The European sales of Final Fantasy X can be estimated about 3 to 4 million units. Such facts show, that our demands contain comprehensible reasons.

We have about 8300 signatures now and many sites and printmagazines for support. Any help is useful to acchieve our aims. Yes, the effect is doubtfoul but in the end we can say we really have tried. And maybe we only
get some attention or respect from Square, that they wake up and think about it.
