Hi, I've a question about 'warnings'...

I looked up toward the User CP, and, for the first time, I had a 'warnings' link. I clicked on it, and it listed several things I had not done, or at least had not been aware that I was doing, like repeatedly posting off topic and the like.

I can't remember doing any of these things. Is this link not person-specific, just a general list of things that you could get warned or banned for?

Please help! I'm kind of worried!

Warning were introduced I believe 2 weeks ago, looks like you were looking at someone else's because beside your name on this post you have 0 warnings. No worries

of course this gives the power of ban to a certain person.

Just becareful cause if you piss off One person its over. I think we all know who that one person is.

I personally think this warning system is a VERY bad thing. Obviously since I dont even know what i said, (it was delete) and i got dinged for it. I then called "him" on it and he dinged me again... either that or for calling him a n00b. But thats just a joke, so i dont think that was it. But whatever it was, its very dangerous to give a man free reign over all the users here.

ALL forums should be community run, this system is a Dictatorship.
And more than likely I will be dinged for this, and this post will be deleted, thus proving my statement, so i hope someone reads this b4 "he" see's this.

Moderators and Administrators have the power to ban BEFORE the Warning system was put in to place. And BEFORE the warning system was put in to place, the only thing a mod/admin can do to "punish" inapporpriate behavior was straight to a ban. Furthermore, there was always no record of whether someone was warned before or not, and thus mod/admin sometimes jump directly to a ban.

The Warning System gives you a chance at before you do get banned. So, I believe this is an improvement.

Also, most forums are as "community runned" as possible but not at the expense of other's enjoyment. Order needs to be kept by the moderators/administrators, otherwise, the quality of the community will be utter crap.

I gave you your banning points because you broke the rules on many times. The first time you made racist / prejustice remarks. As I do admit I delete the post, located here, you can see some of your post in a quote, right here. The second warning was for this posting where is appears you seem to be mad at me because of the first warnings. I don't believe I need to explain any of them further.

He is definately right about that. All you need to do is read the EQOA forums and see the cesspool that it is.
