Most Populated Server

Me and my friend, brazilian guys, will start to play this game =) Not a "lolbr". ppl who like to help!

We want to start in the highest populated server, and i come here ask to u all =P

Looking at the number of threads created, Ragnarok is the most.. but i wanna be sure!

Our server forums are hardly of any use in accessing actual population.

Right now, no server is really that different from any other, but Odin and Bahamut once were locked off because they were the most overpopulated, now they're less populated than in prior months and still locked off.

The best server at this point is the one your friend is also on. Just pick the same server.

Hmm, thanks for the answer!

Can i take the FFXI AH DATA of base to my search?

In this site, says that in phoenix have the most active players.. and asura, the most transactions..

So, if im looking for active players, based in this site, go to phoenix, right?

I was on Odin, which is locked off from server selection

I suppose Phoenix or Asura wouldn't be bad picks, but it probably means its got a bit more of a strong crafting community and healthier economy than other servers. It may be just as populated as any other. An active economy is a good sign, though.

Just don't take your information to mean that you'll walk into a start city loaded with people and that you'll have more options for partying. All starter cities will seem pretty empty and this is just because players congregate in Jeuno and Aht Urghan Whitegate these days.

but if the server is locked, can i receive some key, from some member to enter in the server?

What fansite is good to information? we have any other then FFIX AH?

The Population Test thread has some (rather unscientific) samplings of various Worlds' population sizes at various times.

Figure out when you are likely to play (time of day, day of the week), and see if anyone tested the population size during those time slots, and look at the data on FFXIAH.com to decide whether that's good enough info for yourself or not. (Edit: No one can create characters on or move characters to the locked Worlds, to my knowledge.)

The most helpful source of info for FFXI is: FFXIclopedia. If you visit only one site, that should be the site.

Only Bahamut and Odin are locked and there's no way in there.
