What server to play on?

Hey all,
I'm anticipating the arrival of my 360 and final fantasy... so I have some questions..

I like playing MMO's with other people and such... I'm in North America (North Eastern United States)... so I ask this:

What server do you recommend that I play on?

The general consensus is that they're all the same for the most part. If you have any friends who play you might want to just join them on whichever server they're on.

most of them are pretty much the same with exception of server populations i think 1 or 2 are closed since they are heavily populated but it has been awhile since i had really heard anything on server populations..

i would say one way to help you possibly make a decision is to look up server populations then compare it to ffxiah.com site and look at the current consumer price index thing.. and look for one that has a mid range population (so enough people are there or on at your play times to help get through quests/missions) and the cost of living isnt extremely high.

that way if you can find a balance you will have enough people online at any point you might find others that can help and with lower costs of items it will help you save some start up costs in the beginning.

personally though, i originally started on diabolos, and migrated to ramuh about 2ish years ago following some friends and i can say i liked both servers, met some good people on both servers.. but i am not heavy into endgame and if thats the scene your shooting for you would be better off with someone elses opinion.

though if ya start on ramuh look up an ls called fraggle rock.. they are a social shell with a few sister shells that kind of dable in a little endgame stuff but are not a hardcore endgame shell and dont really mess with hmns or things like odin, av, pw.. but could get your feet wet in some of the other things as you make your way through parts of the game if your starting new.
