Yes, I don't need reminding of the I'll never come back after quitting, blah blah, what I didn't expect was SE to make the last set of updates that would make the game enjoyable for me again.

Typically I have forgotten my account password for the game, so a I go tot eh EU playonline site and to the live chat tech support and whalla 30 seconds later, a lovely lass (well she was friendly in chat speak) was asking what I need help with. after passing her all the details she needed she gave me a new password and said If I didn’t delete the characters then they should still be there. well considering I only cancelled the payment on the content ID's Hopefully my Paladin Galka Brickshouse will be stomping a server again in a few days.

so tonight I will be installing the game and doing the huge file update download.... if my character is irretrievable then I guess I'll have to start again, but this extra 20% bonus should hopefully help early levelling.

So lock away your mithras, the Brick is coming back, I might even change servers, I don't know yet, would be nice to join some people in my time zone.

Seriously though, welcome back, I hope you get to a good server if you decide to transfer. I'd suggest Fenrir but I rarely play nowadays, but it's a good server even without me playing, just beware Feba used to play there and there's always a chance he'll go back to terrorizing the place.

My linkshell is based on california and I don't know many european players, just a few, and we hang out a bit sometimes... Ragnarok's nice tho, I liek it.

Thankyou all and Raydeous, something about FF that just keeps you umming and arring. Currently doing the long install..... Programes nearly installed then to set the thing updating, should take 6 hours so will ahve to do it tonight and tomorrow night.

Still to make sure my character is still alive and that the code given today by support works ok..

Hell be a bit rusty, but I've just reactivated the content ID's and it still has my 2 characters listed, Brickshouse & Jarre.

One thing is for sure, the file check has onl;y taken me 10 minutes with my new quad core system I;ve had a few months, its used to take 45 minutes on my athlon 64!!

I am looking forward to having the graphics set to a high resolution as I have the processing power and an 8800GT graphics card as well as a nice big LCD monitor, so this will be new territory for me and hopefully will enjoy the graphics for what tehy were designed for.

Right 10k files to download now 6 hours it says so 2 hours tonight and 4 tomorrow... then saturday hopefully brick will enter the world again and start slashing some goblins up.

Well its official I'm back in kajuta for the moment, getting back to teh ropes and sorting macros out etc etc. Took Brickshosue out for a spin to fight some EFT's in bibiki bay




I decided to reytire my other character Jarrre (a lvl 15 elvan warrior) to make way for a new direction for me, Mithra. Over the 2 years I played previously I tried hume, elvan and taru, but never Mithra. So after carting all of Jarres stuff to brick to hold onto, Jarre departed on a long walk to teh unknown and a new Mithra was born.

Please meet Eurdice (a mythical name for the God of Justice)




She is starting as a warrior using the equipment passed down to her by Jarre and brick to give her a head start int eh dangerous world of vanadiel.

Currently a lvl 6 warrior after her stint in Zeruhn Mines. and thus vanadiel has another Mithra warrior starting to show her mark.

On a positive note post update I am really pelased with early levelling.

I am currently getting 60-70 exp on easy prey, 70-90 on Decent challenge and the usual 100 for EM and 120 for Tough. Note I don;t have enough conquest points yet for an empress band so this is before any bonuses. I remeber the update before I left where resting under signet meant no TP was lost, but what I didn't know of was the first weapon skill is now obtainable at weapon lvl 5, now using a small axe by Eurdice's Lvl 3 I was able to raging axe which has helped considerably. levelling at teh low levels is certainly becoming less of a grind.

Whilst chocoing through to selbina I saw many of these reduced level players partying in the Dunes and doing very well, I think it is certainly opeing the game out again to people who can't spend hours and hours partying to get anywhere.

Another few bonuses..

Nomad moogle in selbina and Mhaura (yes I know old news but it didn't happen before I left)

The other thing is now with my new computer (quadcore with 8800GT and 2gb memory) I can have all the textures, bump mapping etc etc on the highest settings and get a more smoother vibrant experience than I did before so I am now getting more out of the game.

you have to get up to lvl 5 before you can use a grate axe

on another note, How long has the NPC Gulldago been at Bastok markets Gate?

I havn't seen the galka before, but he gives starting players quests. After speaking to me he gave me 6 meat jerkys, then asked me to kill something outside, I had already so after speaking to him again he gave me a lizard tail, honey and a fire crystal and told me to synth it. After a synthesis I have sweet lizard that gives HP+5, MP+5 and Dex +1 for 30 minutes. He then asks me to find the auction house, I do so and after returning he gives me a voucher for a chariot band, you go to the guard you get bands from and buy a chariot as normal and it costs you nothing. So now he asks to get lvl 4, done so talk to him again and he givers me a Raising Earing (casts re-raise) is rare/ex and has 10 charges, 30 seconds to use and 10 minutes between uses. He has now asked me to kill one thing in highlands so once I get up to lvl 11 I'll solo something and see...

SE certainly is adding many things to make starting easier...

The newbie quest NPCs were added in the last version update, along with Level Synch, the EP/DC EXP boost, changing the first WS to 5 Skill, nerfing poison moves for common mobs at low levels, etc.

You get a free Reraise Earring?

Did they add it to the conquest points list too or is it only for starting players onry? I'd certainly like buying an earring with 10 charges using CPs rather than those Reraise scrolls.
