Switching Servers Help?

Hey i plan to switch servers soon due to somethings that have happened plus a friend of mine is joining but they dont want to be part of the server im on at the minute because they kinda dont want to be 'Kelly and friend'

Were looking for a good server with kind residents, friendly residents. Does anyone recommend a server. I live in Ireland she in Canada (long story).

Can anyone help. I will be paying that extra fee so my hole characters can transfer me because i worked hard on them and really like them.

Any recommendations

The only real recommendation I can give is to find one with a medium population(I'm not sure but I think the last Vana 'diel Census gives that info), one where it isn't too crowded or too desolate that you can't accomplish anything at low/mid levels. As far as the 'too crowded end' I know that would be Odin and Bahamut, as far as the 'too desolate' ones I'm not sure. Most are in the middle.

Oh and from what I've seen everything and everyone on Shiva sucks. >.>;

Im not bothered about people who know more about the game, if i gave that impression im sorry thats not the intention.

All i and my friend want is a place where the people are kind and friendly, active and generaly a good place

I tried returning this last week to FFXI and I found my old server, Fenrir, to be completely dead, at least during Euro to early EST hours. This is on a paladin both looking for parties and trying to make them at the mid 30's range. There just seemed to be a real shortage of any healer and tanking classes, other than myself. So, after seven days or so of trying FFXI is once again uninstalled. Real shame when you like a game but external circumstances make it impossible to play it.

Does it have great people, a great atmosphere? A great party system so you never go without one Euro and other times?

Midgardsormr's becoming increasingly sparse, sadly. Most of the people we know who've returned to the game recently ended up jumping to either Pandemonium or Odin... There's rarely a shortage of parties crowding the mire, of course, but it used to be that you'd get stuck waiting for a tank or a refresher or a healer to pop and then you could put together something half-way viable, now party forming can actually get stopped up on lack of DDs or just plain lack of seekers far more often.

Two years ago or so I could have definitely recommended this server to you, but...
