Which server has the worst economy?

Trying to get on Valefor if I could get a world pass.....
Most of my friends are on there (but there not on now...) and I wanted to know if Valefor's economy was decent.

If I can't get on Valefor though, I'd like to know which other server has stable economies?

My suggestion is, try to browse from forums from servers, there is usuallyl a thread or two regarding economy. My guess is that overall the economies are very SIMILAR, given that the worlds are identical. Try the valefor forum here again, or some other communities for a bit of research

From what I've heard, midgardsormr and fairy economies tend to be "a bit more screwed up" then the rest, probably due to the large number of NA players who decided to glomp those servers at launch

Its not what the economy does to you, it's what you do to the economy.

The prices may differ from server to server, but generally, what determines the amount of time spent to obtain xxx amount of gil is the result of the supply and demand of the items, and the amount of gil flowing within the economy.

I don't see why people say Midgards economy is screwed up. While it's slightly higher on average than most servers (and prices typically are similar across the board), I was still able to make about 300K profit a day doing something for about 2 weeks before the masses got wind and annihilated the margin, forcing me to move on.

Given that you could start to do what I was doing below level 10 and only for3-3.5 hours, thats 3 million in 10 days and things like Hauberks/Haubergeons are only 5-6 mil, Scorps about 7 mil etc.

The only thing that is perhaps too expensive for farming alone are things like the Black set and Verm/Nobles etc because the variance in margin of something already that high in price will show a difference of several million.

Shiva is kinda bad. My friend about three months ago, before i was playing, sold a stack of silk threads for 75k. Now that i am on my first stack of them sold only for 55k, and now with the new expansion they have dropped to a measly 30k. I think that is just mess up. But then again thats just my opinion.

When I was on Quetz server the economy wasn't that bad then i went to Siren Woah overpriced like a bitch. my friends that are on Quetz still have made chars on Siren and told me that Siren's AH is way higher then that on Quetz still. I wish SE would let you move from one server to the next (when you hit a certain time frame of course).

Valefor's economy is better than most servers, I think.

Hades might be up there. We've had a couple migrations from other servers with people bringing all sorts of gil and items into the world, not to mention we're apparently often "Out of Stock" for gil in most RMT sites.

Actually, Fairy server has somewhat leveled out as of now. Will it stay that way for long ? who knows ?

All servers tend to go through inflation, and watch items sky rocket, then fall to rock bottom prices. So no one server is better than the other.

And the main thing is the player base who set the prices, yeah you have your greedy players who figure the price was at 50k will try to squeeze 70k out of it, and normally succed cause people pay it, and there for start setting a new price.

I have seen it take one person to undercut someone , and set a new price also by dropping it from say 100k to 70k and it go down to 50k and stay there for a long time, till said greed comes back and raises it again.

Just go to a server your friends are on and enjoy, That is what the game is really about. being with friends and enjoying yourself.

Items are priced based upon time to obtain, number of people obtaining them and number of people wanting to buy them.

If too many people are obtaining that item you need to change your source of income and not just moan about the price dropping.

Businesses in the real world get problems when they are not prepared or willing to move with market changes. Same applies to FF economy.

"Supply and Demand!"

If there is not enough supply but high demand, people will charge a higher price.

Now if there is a large supply but low demand, then items will sale at lower price so people can sale the product and free up space on ah, thus doing undercutting(GRRRRRR).

But that in a nutshell is how it works.

Waiting to see what this Christmas season will bring? More jacked up prices ? Who knows, can only wait and see.
