    saying goodbye to hydra.............

    hello folks. just looking for a little input.... i'm a level 26 rdm / 15 whm

    i'm just about to sort out my migration to another server from hydra
    just wondering if there is any servers you would recommend above others as we get to choose are own.


    also can you tell me about the prices on said server , as i think i'm in for a shock when it comes to buying stuff.

    Well, I can't tell you what big differences there are between servers, but I can tell you Ragnarok is a rather busy server(once billed as the busiest in the game, before the first big server migration to even things out). From rumours I've heard, AH inflation isn't as bad as some other servers. I think it was Fairy and Valefor where I heard outrageous prices on mundane items, as well as overwhelming gilseller presence.... but DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT.

    My advice is that if you have friends on a particular server, join them there. A fresh start is easier with freindly faces.

      Prices on Asura vary from item to item... things were ridiculous before the Gilsellers took that hit. But as it is right now, prices are getting back to normal... Thunder Staves are back down to 100K, when they had gotten up to 350k or so (not sure on exact number).

        You could try to make this thread relative to the forum you posted it in. Being a RDM is not enough to place this here (Try FAQ forum or General FFXI)

        Must be a reason why you'd want to post this here...

              I'd only been playing for about a month and that was (mostly) solo.

              Now I'll have to wait until April 20th to see what random server i get
