Busiest Server

Hello Guys,

I am returning to final fantasy xi after a year or so out an i will be looking to make a new character, I just need to know what is the busiest server to try an join, im sure i would be able to find a world pass from someone somewhere, All whats the deal now, Does everyone play Rise of the zilart or do they just play the normal Final Fantasy any help would be great

there is no way to really know what the busiest server is. SE does not release the population information for each server.

the expansions (zilart + promathia) are not seperate games, they just add additional content to the game.

Like, neighbortaru said. Even how the system is designed when randomly assigning players to a server it makes it were every server is fairly equal anyways. So no matter which server you go to it's likely to have a near equal quantity of players as another server.

Not necessarily. Some servers are considerably larger than others. My server, seraph, is relatively less populated. If you're looking into joining a really packed server, I believe the highest 3 are Ragnorak, Midgar, and Fairy.

^interesting because i thought the server selection was also based on population and giving low populated servers priority on the new players and i just started recently and got on fariy without a worldpass

Population along servers fluctuate. Server that end up being more populated then others is simply because a large influx of WPs being used or players forcing their way onto a crowded server.

Otherwise if you take out WPs and players stopped forcing their way in the Servers population would remain very similar with probably a 200 user fluxuation. In either case though all the servers are quite busy, due to the WPs and players forcing their way in at a given time a server can reach 5,000 users, but the other servers will generally be around 2k-3k as well.

Not to mention when they do a "World Shift" it's to balance and level out the population among all the servers. So really all of them generally stay around a 2k-4k range (That are on at a given time, the servers total users could be 30k+ but not all 30k+ get on at the same time).
