New / Newest Server/s?

Hiya, I used to play FFXI from NA release and stopped about a year after. Well after not playing for a while, I would really love to just start over in FF, I really miss all the memories and friendships built through the game.

What I would like to know though is, what is the newest server and how long has it been around for, or is there talk of any new servers in the future at all?

I ask because if I do start over in FF i'd prefer to start on a server that's not already so set and been around for a long time.

Any info on this would be great! ^^

The newest one is Hydra but that's only used for the 360 beta at the moment.

Well, I don't know which servers came in what orders, but I've been very pleased with Odin. Not the best server out there economy wise, but also not the worse. See regular new players coming and staying around for a while. Crouded enough that you always see new people, but small enough that you see the "regulars" around a lot to. *shrug* I like it anyhow.

last two servers are remora and hades created, iirc, 2004.

as for new servers, let's see how many new ppl actually come on board with the xbox360/ToA launch
