Which server?

Well, in a few hours I should be back home and getting ready to start up my account, and I was wondering which server I should play. I'm aware that you need a world pass to even choose one, and it kinda sucks that way . All I really need is to be shown around some of the starter areas in the first day so I can get used to the game. I dont need cash or equipment and stuff, I can get it all myself.

I don't think it really matters which server you start in. If you have any friends in-game (maybe someone you've met on the forums) they could get you a world pass. If you want to get into Midgardsormr, I can get you a WP myself. It all comes down to what friends you have :3 I wouldn't leave Midgardsormr for the world, for the simple reason that all my friends are there ^^ If you don't end up in Midgard (which is very likely) then I'll give you some starter tips: Use the map right off the bat. It'll not only help you orient yourself in town and in the world, but it'll also show you the locations of the crafting guilds, and most importantly, Weapon shops, Armor shops, Magic shops, Item shops, Inns, and Taverns. This is extremely important! Learn what NPCs sell! The Auction House will generally grossly overcharge you for low-level weapons, armors, and scrolls, and you can generally find basic (but highly effective at low levels) foods at Inns and Taverns for very little gil. Weapon shops are marked with a Sword icon, Armor shops are marked with a shirt icon, and so on. Also, always talk to the gate guards before heading out, and never forget to have Signet cast on you! Crystals are the lifeblood of crafting, and they'll sell for quite a bit of gil. Once you're high enough to challenge them, try to fight Goblins and Birds for expensive fire crystals. Wind crystals (bats and bees) also sell well ^^ And finally...the map doesn't show everything! This goes twice for dungeons. Don't be surprised if you find an off-map area.

There's no real disadvantage to each server, except their inflation.
