Joining a server soon, any suggestions which one?

Let me first start off by saying that I wont be a first time MMRPG onliner(everquest 60 wiz, ffxi pal 43) or the first time I have played the game.

I leveled a warrior to 38 then the paladin to into the mid 40's of a buddy's character. He deleted the character sometime after we split ways as roommates..

I was curiously which are considered the safest bets for joining serverwise.

I was thinking that i would go with a mid to large populated server in order to be able to get a group at the upper levels (50+).

Also, I am looking for a server that doesnt have a distorted economy.

Any insights or suggestions are appreciated!!

they are all pretty much the same. However, Asura and Midgard seem to have insane (relatively) economies...

I was just about to post a thread with the same question

I also played a while go, got a few Lv75 jobs, done just about everything you could have done when I quit. I've tried other mmorpgs, but they just can't compare to ffxi, so I feel like I wanna play again, but I don't know which server to choose, I wanna start over and get new friends, play for fun this time instead of insane lvling of jobs and having the best eq Just for fun =P So does anyone have a tip for me?
