hey, could anyone give me a WP to phoenix? i left FFXI, and now im coming back again and i'd like to go on phoenix with a friend of mine, but i cant get hold of him...
Much Appreciated!
Carbuncle is EXTREMELY overloaded. They keep offering world immagration to us, but most people won't take it. If you are on this server, you know someone. You don't just randomly start on this server, you have to have a worldpass to get on or have a current account already on the server.
Well during the first world immigration they tried to get a lot of people on the server to go to one of the new servers that they created. And in the most recent one, they were trying to get some of us to go over to Hades.
The thing is, there are so many bigger end game linkshells on carbuncle that have ties with everyone else that it's very hard to get people to migrate. Yes, there were some people that did, but that fixed the problem for like a month or two, now there are all these new people on. It's just very crowded. And the inflation on our server is insane. HQ Staves at (lvl 51 elemental staves) are between 2 mil on the low side, but most are 4 mil a piece.
Hope no one minds me posting this here I played for months when the game launched in the US but because of RL issues I had to drop out.
Finally though after all this time I'm stepping back into the game (yay for the Vana'Diel collection finally pulling me in), but am pretty much back to square 1 ignorant noobness.
Anyway, I'm really curious as to which server to go for? I wouldn't mind a good linkshell to play with but from experience in other games I know that joining established guilds as a newbie tends to get you smacked around a lot So anyway, I would love a server with a decent NA population for the most part(I don't mind playing with Asian/etc players, would just like to not have to wrestle with language barrier and starting out in the game new for the moment). The whole experience in general is a bit overwhelming right now, but I'm looking forward to playing again and would love any kind assistance that might be given.
Thanks! Off to the slow process of installing the dvd and... oh god... registering all those codes (some nightmares never leave you).
