I never got any gil but I did get hit on a lot. *sigh* The most I gave was 45k and a full set of mitty RSE to my girlfriend when I quit. Having no cash and no armor to come back to is a big hinderance whenever you think about reactivating your sub.

the highest for me was like 200k...that was to boost my fame in sandy and basty via selbina quest. I made sure i paid him back too

Someone gave me 1 mil help him through the entire drg quest. He also gave me 500k later for something else(can't remember which one it was). I was hesitant to take it, but turns out he has connections with a 100+3 goldsmither. It has helped me greatly. I've helped him a few things for no cost since, but I still feel that I owe him.

Someone else gave me 100k long before this too, just to escort him from the west ronfaure outpost to the holla crag and back. o.O

I got 1 mil from a friend who was leaving, and I got a mythril earring that he signed ^^ However I miss him more than that ; ; (but that still didn't prevent me from taking up goldsmithing, lol).

100k from an old LS member who left long ago and I haven't seen around since. I was around lvl 20, and he was helping me with Teleport Crystals and gave me the gil, too.

When I first started, I originally picked WAR, and I was scouring the AH for armor when a guy led me to the armor shop and bought me leather armor, and handed me 10k.

I've given out alot, too. There was a girl in one of my dunes pts who got on my nerves... then I see her in Sandy unable to buy the bow she wanted and handed her 40k anyway. >.< I've also given out 10k here and there to newbies. A lil taru named Darthmaul rises to mind. He was so sweet, tried to give me a cure scroll thinking I needed it. I told him to keep it and gave him 10k for armor and whatnot.

I've given away tons of gil over the years. Both times that I quit (I know), I gave everything away to one or two people that I knew really well. When I came back one helped me with a few quests, and the other one gave me a Mannequin Body, but otherwise I haven't really gotten a lot of monetary gifts from people.

No one has given me anything this time around. But it's cool. I'm relatively self-sufficient at this point. It's amazing how easy it is to make gil if you know what you're doing from the moment you spawn in your starting city for the first time.

I used to play in Caitsith, but my RL friend was in Diabolos. When I made the switch, he gave me 600K to start off.
