Heh Most I ever got is 10k.
I was running around selling things at real cheap prices so that I could start selling stuff at the auction house then someone just gave me 10k and said I know its hard to start making gil ^_^

i've gotten a few mil from friends who've wuit but best most notably was a guy who gave me 100k to tele-mea him cause he was in a rush or something, so i go ok ^^ and port him! ^^

This one guy gave me some pickaxes and a silver ore last night. I was waiting for a mining point to pop up and Started fighting a mauthe dog while waiting. It popped but i was still fighting the dog and near death (those too weaks can suprise you sometimes @.@). I screamed out noooooo.
Finally beat the dog and limped away... I guess he understood my plight and gave me a silver ore from the spot and a few pickaxes since he was ready to leave. I gave him a Warp II home

A jp friend I met like 4 days into playing quit & gave me 1,000,000 odd thing was it was the first time I had talked to him for months ^^

Another friend gave me a pair of snipers (at the time worth 300k) & to my suprise 2 months later the price rocketed up to 1.3 mill CHA CHING ^^

I've given away quite alot of gil myself to mosly to random people that sounded like they need it, most recently I met a guy in Bastok who clearly had no clue wtf to do in the game

Sooooo I sat & explained how to use the ah where to lv etc then bought him as much +1 equip as a low lv mage can wear gave him 100k & pl'd him > lv 9 ^^

Someone who was quitting gave me 50k while I was telewhoring...and my friend gave me 210k for my birthday once.... ._.

That's about the only times I've ever been "given" gil.

i just recently gave my friend 350k for his hauby, he says he wants to pay back everyone who gave him money, (somewhere around 2 mil) so i don't expect it back anytime soon, not that i ever expected it back anyway lol

And a few 100 gilz for chocobo sometimes when I was poor.

I got Alky Bracelets from a friend that quit long ago. =/ I take the cake, eh. Sell for 15mil on my server.

I also got a Verm Cloak from a friend, but that was 1 1/2 years ago when they were 1mil. XD

Now that I come back to game, I have like 600k in EQ and like 45k spending.

I was leveling Black mage in Sandy when a guy on a cho comes over and hands me 40k. Tells me "Heres some starting money".

Hmm, does bad AH sells qualify as money given >.>

If so then I got the following:

4.5 mil for a stack of silk
600k for a vial of mercury
5 mil for giga socks
2 mil for a beehive chip

Outside of that I also had a friend give me 3 mil when they had quit. To bad for those that payed a bad price on the AH items, I went to the AH when I saw this each time but with the frequency that those items sell at the Price History was long gone on who payed those bad amounts. Without any backing evidence I could see myself without suspicion of it being photoshopped I ended up just keeping the money.

Did help to pay for a good chunk of gear for 70+ range. Been nearly 3 months since that happen and not once got a message or anything about it so think it's safe to say the gils mine now.

During one of regular "I'm going to sit on the Kazham boat and talk" routines, I was talking to this one lvl 75 BLM, who when he got off, gave me 100k. Wouldn't let me repay him or anything....so ya, that's the most I've ever been given ^_^

Kamiel gave me 1k back when I was having trouble affording equipment. Then I discovered fishing, sold a couple stacks of moat carps, and gave Kamiel 6k. We also exchange items via delivery since we're in different parts of the game currently. (I'm in Bastok, Kamiel's in San d'Oria)
