Dalmatica drops from Nidhogg - FINAL

I've had it with so called "elite" people on my fucking friendlist (you know who you are) that claim I'm BSing about Nidhogg dropping the Dalmatica abjuration...

I don't know which site lists it as Aspido onry but let me tell you its not true. For proof etc (check out our videos of killing nidhogg and getting the drop) go to www.theorderls.com

We've actually gotten more dalmaticas than Adaman hauberks or Koenig bodies :/

if you'll notice, all abjurations drop from only 1 monster EXCEPT for zenith set, where all of the pieces have 2 sources. I suppose this is due to the higher number of jobs that use it.

Ventrillo makes up for the sad fact that this game does not support voice chat, which is far superior to any chat system currently in place for FFXI.

If I remember correctly, it was Requiem who wanted to use a ventillo server.

And yeah, I don't like dalmatica at all, and wished the PLDs and damage dealers got their body abjurations instead.

The good thing about Dalmatica is the MP boost, auto refresh and of course the fact that it doesn't take up the head slot like vermillion etc. It looks like a decent carpet but nowhere near as good as Adaman etc.

Dalmatica is pretty damn decent if you ask me. It's the best chest any mage can have in the game. Even some RDMs choose that over the Crimson chest (who sadly have both). Adaman Hauberk compared to Hauberk is about a 25% increase in stats. Which you think about it isn't really that much....Yeah it's good but compare something like Koenig Chest to Adaman Chest...Koenig is like +1000% increase in stats lol.

Dalmatica by itself isn't really that great. It pretty much has the same exact stats as a verm so it's like 0% increase in stats. But the ability to clear up a head space can bring stats up +1000%. Usually head gear is the 2nd best armor in the game. Most headgear is very very good. The ability to wear that headgear + the dalmitica > adaman hauberk imo.

EDIT: Yeah I know hauberk has a clearance for headgear too but I'm trying to compare mage to melee. Imo stats are over rated. I wish this is where square has done better. Someone with an Adaman Hauberk and a Normal Hauberk...the person in adaman is only like 2% better if you take the totals of all the stats and values and how much it really makes a diff.

Of all the Dalmaticas we have gotten, about 75% of them came from Nidhogg. There were times where Nidhogg dropped two Dalmatica scrolls at a time (or two Adaman Hauberk scrolls... where are all the Koenig Cuirass scrolls? -_-)

How can people contest that Nidhogg doesn't drop it? :3

As to the worth of a Dalmatica, I still think it's useful, in the least, to bards and summoners. Many bards tend to want the head slot for the ever-useful Opo Opo Crown, and summoners because we don't get a fancy, useful cloak or tunic around 67-68 ; ; ...and because some of us are MP whores and drool at the idea of 50 more MP (without thinking of how we lose 50 HP from our already shallow HP pool >.>), oh and potentially more MP from Head Equip.

Too bad Dalmatica and smn relic armor at the same time are a fashion don't. =\ (pants and dalmatica in specific, gloves and shoes are easily hidden, the horn seems to look the same -_-; )

Another one of those vanity vs. functionality issues. Not to this extreme, but I had this problem trying to choose body armor in the mid 40s (hara-ate vs. brigandine).
