I also dislike PTing with THF now.... haha
I've got WAR and THF SJ so I can do either spot nicely ^^
Preferred (For 71+):
With DRK: Shield(NIN, PLD), MNK/WAR(me), DRK/THF, BLM, WHM, BRD
For bones: PLD, MNK/THF, MNK/WAR, BLM, WHM, BRD (I know people like RDM, but against bones I prefer WHM usually)
With WAR: Shield(NIN, PLD), MNK/WAR, WAR/THF, BLM, WHM, BRD
or(if you fight bones especially)
Shield(NIN, PLD), MNK/THF, WAR/THF, BLM, WHM, BRD
I once had a psycho PT against bones: WAR/SAM, DRK/THF, MNK/WAR, RDM, BLM, BRD. I forget the exact supporter set up, but I know we had a BLM. Anyways, we did Decimation>Souryuu and Decimation>Spin. We lost hate onto the BLM often enough, especially if half my souryuu missed
Anwyays, it's my opinion that if you invite a monk after 71 consider highly what rennkei you are doing, because THF SJ> Souryuu strength, up but THF SJ barely helps Ashura and honestly Ashura is better for leading Cross or Steel Cyclone. Taunt+Tameru+Ashura.... I guarantee it will turn. Serious, it's not all that difficult unless your shield is an uber hate hog. Honestly, I don't care much for THF later on, but I guess it's just cause I cant do a lot of great rennkei with them and doubly angered that we always go to hunt bones with a THF...... Then the THF, instead of using his dagger, he cries it's weak and uses his unarmed attacks............ ><; E grade weapon..... You do the math.... I'd rather have him using his weak ass dagger and actually do a rennkei more than once every two fights..... 1h Staff is ok, especially if they have the Kraken.... but, who does? Anyways, THF always ruin PT when I had one over 71... hehe
