Godly HNMs. What are their stats, drops and pop ?

Hey everyone,

I have been doing a little research on my own on HNM and I have encountered few HNM that I am sure some people here have some info about it or at least heard of it ( I expect the more experienced JPN high level ppl to at least heard of these NMs).

The HNM that I am talking about are: Kirin, Byakko, Genbu, Suzaku, Seiryuu, Nidhogg, and Aspidochelone. Fafnir and King Behemoth are actually on my list, but there are not as mysterious as the first seven I listed.

As I recall, Suzaku, Kirin, Genbu, Seiryuu are mythical animals, guardians of land. I have heard rumors that these monsters drop items that can un-cursed cursed items, and from that you can synthesize uber armor (high level artisanship required I presume). Their regular drops I am sure are also amazing.

I also found out that in order to even fight the Kirin you need 3 seals. How do you get those seals ?

I think thats enough for now. I have more questions in mind if somebody actually know the answer to the questions above.

I'm fairly sure a good majority of the HNMs you've listed drop the items required for Abjuration. At the very least, the four gods, King Behemoth and Fafnir do.

Apparently Kirin summons the other gods during the fight, so it's like 4 HNMs in one fight. I don't know how to trigger the fight, but the drops are pretty amazing. Just look at Kirin's Osode for example.

You know, when I first heard about those 4 gods, it reminded me of Final Fantasy Legend (SaGa 1) on Gameboy (had 4 gods with those names).

What about the Ash Dragon in the volcano? Is it an HNM?

Seiryu, Byakko, Genbu, and Suzaku are all trigger POP HNMs in Tulia. You need to kill hard NMs in the Tulia area to get the trigger items and each HNM needs 2 items. You most likely will not be able to watch any of them being fought as the ??? is located on a platform that can only be reached by a teleport pad which will de-activate once 1 alliance has gone through.

Seiryu is Wyvern
Byakko is Tiger
Genbu is Turtle
Suzaku is Big Bird

You need from 18+ to kill them and they drop very good items including their relevant seal (Seal of Suzaku etc)

You need all 4 seals to fight Kirin but he will summon the 4 HNMs listed above when you do so.

I saw a Seal of Genbu on someone's bazaar for 10k once.. i was *this* close to buying it hehe.

Can you only use the seal once? Or is it a re-usable thing?

According to my site, all the HNMs you've listed drop abjuration uncurse scrolls.

Nidhogg is a lottery pop with Fafnir, Aspedablahican'tpronounce is a lottery pop with Adamantoise

we had more than 1 alliance get through. I only fought Genbu, had to leave before we started Suzaku, but the fight was hella fun.


edit: Faust drops a soup uncurse scroll...which i won! buahahaha I can now drink UNCURSED SOUP!

edit2: the soup better turn me into a 60 foot taru who can shoot laser beams from his eyes.

Also, how does one split the drops of these HNMs? I really want to know because I look forward to fighting Fafnir.
