The gil making thread

You see, I don't bother with the 864s or whatever.

If you only stick with the labyrinth area, you'll make good money. The maze area I went through 14 berries without a pop, whereas the labyrinth point I can go through a stack without failing. It's really random but the rate in lab area is miles better. Around 20D berries should bag you atleast 120k profit. Not bad for a couple hours work.

So my tip is to just stick with 881, good money when you can't GET A GOOD DAMN LOT ON THOSE hnm items ;

anyhow, Maze part is 1 every 3 trade, level 40 monster

Labyrinth is 1 ever 2 trade, level 50 monster.

I tried it... BC and HNM still better... but it's the best way to farm i've ever come across. Works best with a friend :/ Just don't jack my spot ?R(?M„t?L)ƒm

people kept talking about the secret to 881. I checked the AH, naw, they're not worth that much. I did quest in selbina, but didn't pay attention to how much he gave me. all this time wasted.

but.... I guess until recently I wouldn't have been able to do it anyways.

I tried some trades to the queen crawler but that didn't seem to be very worthwhile (871 > 864) queen crawler also lvl 65 which makes for a decent challenge solo. Only tried 3 (2 failures 1 success). *ponders the secret part :confused: *

team up with another bst lvl 68-70
go hunt coral sahagin/abyss sahagin in sea serpent grotto
3k gil per kill (each person) + spells
decent exp too

Im lvl 54 and just hunt Tigers in battlia, its not a secret, there are tons of them (well there is a secret spawn area...kinda)
There is a NPC in SSan in the sundrys shop that will give 2100G for 3 fangs, you also get tiger hides which are about 350 a pop.
pretty good money, plus it gives you loads of fame.
When i can kill Taber and axe beaks easyer (maybe lvl 60) the meat go for 10-12k a stack (sell very good, and can also make Kabobs with them) and they also drop skin (about 1k) and giant bird feathers (20-25k a stack)
Thats about it,
cept for a certain drop that goes for 40-50k (not a NM) and spawns once an hour. (sercret...kinda)

Almost all the most profitable gil-making schemes are thus far dependent on AH prices, making them susceptible to fluctuation once many people are on to the secret.

This kinda bothers me because fundamentally the gil has to come from somewhere, and there doesn't seem to be, at least on the surface, a large enough influx of gil to prevent eventual deflation, as more and more players become capable of high level crafting. In the real world the central banks print enough currency to roughly equate to the amount of tradable goods available. In the game the only end-sources of gil are beastmen drops, quests/missions or selling to NPCs, which I think not many do because they can frequently get a better price at the AH. Compared to the amount of incoming gil, there're many more gil sinks which take the money completely out of circulation, such as transporation and buying from NPC. The economy is obviously working, but from a theoretical point it's kinda mysterious HOW exactly it's staying that way.
