I've seen that for levels 56-60 seems to be focused on the Boyata Tree. While I know that it is a good place to go train, it also too popular of a training ground and most of the time I am stuck there with nothing to "eat"

Does anyone know an alternative training ground for 56-60? It seems that the Orcs in Davoi are now too strong to be good for leveling with.

    Many thanks

Hell yea! One time I went there in a PT that was WAR, SAM, THF, BLM, BLM, SMN. It was freaken nuts, we had 2 renkeis and the SMN was a freaken tank healer with blink all. It's the most amazing thing to see 2 renkeis in one battle, 1 with THF doing shit loads of damage and Water 2 Magic Bursts. 6 words, 4 magic bursts in one battle. And Water 2 just rapes spiders, though not great on beetles, at level 30 Altepa is definitely the place to go, made more than freaken 12K in a few PTs there. ?_(^o^)?^

        Altelpa IS awesome

The Pt i was in that got me to 30 wiht my war was there...

it took us a bit to get to our spot... since a couple of us didn't ahve the crystal yet... but we got to a safe spot where we vcould zone if we got into trouble...

we were a BLM THF THF WAR RDM... Five of us to start... a DRK joined us towards the end of the PT...

We fought Goblin Spider and the theif did sneak attacks/back stabs... it was killer exp... we had chains as high as 290exp.

i think we all died at least once... but we all got a level adn a half in about 2.5 hours :D:D
Skywise: Death due to S-E not likeing my cc for some reason after taking it for more than a year:

Now playing: Skywize- Back to being a PLD. Its good to be back :D

The words thief and solo mix just fine. The word assumption and knowledge do not mix at all.

I'm a level 16 thief (sure that's not a huge accomplishment) and I get about half of my exp for each level from soloing.

You just need to be excessive cautious and buy potions really, and you should be okay. You're a thief for a reason, so steal the good items and make use of your passive skills to make money for good equipment. If your equips are up to par, and you've got hi potions and what not in your inventory you'll do fine. However you may not be able to take on the 150+ exp monsters all the time.

Gain some levels before preaching please. The higher level you get the harder it is to solo, and thieves are poor solo'ers because their defense and normal damage sucks, and they can't pull off their mega damage attacks without a tank.

Pardon my nub question... but how does one get to Altepa? I see it on the map but I have no clue on how to get to the island.

Is it like Kazham? I have the airpass for that...

                  Actually~

Oh, also for 68-70 Gustav "if" you have 2Mnks and Brd. A Thf can be substituted.
Estya~ hehe I went there at 65 PLD MNK/WAR MNK/THF BRD WHM RDM (BRD is a MUST at 65, flash and the new killer/circle help, second monk in rennkei must taunt so mnk/thf can fuidama) and THF is a poor, poor subsititute now... E grade Ši“¬ skill really can't measure up at 65+

an alternative leveling spot for parties lvl 9-10 is the hard part of ranperre's tomb. start off with wind bats and stone eaters. move to the gob ambushers/tinkers/butchers by lvl 11. Grave bats starting at lvl 12. starting lvl 14 go outside at the other stairs for plague bats and rock eaters (just remember to fight them one at a time). lvl 16 the undead in the cave (though i don't waste my time with them since they link and always aggro when you're near deat) and the tomb bats. at lvl 19-20 go back out where you fight plague bats and start going against tougher gobbies

I seen level 40-50 people solo this joint all the time.

if you're sick of the noob infested valkrum, try junger forest starting at lvl 15. stick with lesser gobs, saplings, and snippers at first, then move on to the stronger orcs, gobs, and tigers by the tiem you hit 17-18. don't waste your time with leeches and funguars since they link like hell. stay away from the lake if at all possible - its where bogys spawn. magic users need to carry stacks of potions around just in case elementals spawn which do occasionally. plan on bringing a rdm or whm with raise as an escort though, because norvallen region is still beastmen controlled (but more on the borderline varitety) in Asura. if signet goes away, just make a quick trip across batillia (you can easily get around the mobs) and get signet from the gate guards at jueno. by the time you're level 20 you might want to do thsi anyway just to start on chocobo quest if you haven't done so already.

here is extra incentive in camping junger = orcish fighters drop lizard armor, cursemakers drop lvl 20 mage armor, and tigers drop items that are very profitable either though the one SD fame quest (repeatable, and has reward of 2.1k gil) or through AH.

qufim is a waste of time, just move on to batillia at 20 continuing with lower gobs and saplings and then move on to birds, lower orcs, and by the tiem you get to 25 to the stronger gobs and orcs. again, their drops are much more profitable than qufim.

I'll remember that when I'm leveling Ninja.

For those of you without a full party: In a party of two or three, chaining worms in Korroloka can prove to be rather decent experience. I had myself at 20 (see side), my RDM19 girlfriend and a RNG19 the other day and was able to pull off 130~ish. When I disband to let my girlfriend catch up to me (I was/am teetering on 300tnl), the two of them ALONE were able to rack up 200~ per worm.

Keep in mind, on Seraph, this place has a bit of competition for worm hunting, but even then it's mostly Japanese parties that come here. As for other servers, I don't know, but I know people in Midgardsorlwhatever that leveled there.

This is an especially good tactic for two mages to use. It may be risky for certain melee jobs, but I had a friend of mine (on Midgard) that leveled his Paladin there using a similar tactic.
