This is just a reminder that you can also play Tetra Master on POL. It also lists how fun it is to play and what to expect if you play. Arn't commertials fun?

Just move on down the the lower right hand side and click on the continue button.

What is Available~

On this screen it shows what games are available for play:

Click on Final Fantasy XI.

Play Screen

At this point this is the first we have seen the Final Fantasy XI play screen. If you have an older version of the software this screen may be different, but the options are still the same.

Our first task is to purchase a ContentsID, otherwise known as a Content ID. so that we can create a character, much less play the game. No contents ID, no play game.

Select the last text option that as ID at the end of it:
ƒRƒ“ƒeƒ“ƒc ID.

Contents ID Options

Here we are given multiple options to manage the content ID section. I used to know what the options meant but the one that matters is the one that is highlighted in the provided screen.

This is the purchase Content ID selection. Select this button.

ID info and description~

We are now given more info on the content ID. It is saying something about Web Money and the Content ID, but Im not sure exactly what.

Click on the buy ID button again

Login~

Now we have to log in to purchase section. This requires your PlayOnline ID and your PlayOnline Password. Remember that these two are case sensitive~.

Now, I didnt go and capture the screens beyond this point, because the time I have to do the guide, I am not home so I can't capture any new screens. The remaining section should be self explanatory, but if you do end up getting stuck somewhere, please dont hesistate to contact me, and if someone could capture the screens for me, I'll add them to this guide.

When you are done purchasing your Content ID, you should be brought back here.

Click on the back button at the bottom of the screen~

Now we are back at the play screen. We are armed with our content ID and are ready to play.

This screen usually comes up after an update to FFXI. Recently I have not seen this screen come up, so Im not sure if its from the lack of updating or they may have removed it. Its an update screen describing what was fixed or what new things are occuring.

Click on Continue.

Player information? Im not sure what information is on this screen.. I believe its information about vana'diel and FFXI.

On to FFXI~~

I didn't capture any screens from FFXI since the scope of this guide is to get you this far. Your next step is to create a character and pick a world.. How to do this is located on the forums, but should be pretty straight forward. If already have a world in mind that you want to play on, then you will have to get someone to purchase you a WP, or World Pass. These are pretty expensive, expire after a few days if not used, and have only one use now.

If you crash while in the Player Create screens, then you should use the FFXI setup program provided, and select the simple player create option. There are alot of cards that cant handle the high poly characters and even my GeForce4 has some problems with the texture caching. ~^_^~

This guide will realy come in handy when I managed to overcome this stupid 1160 error. Can someone please tell me what it means?

Firewall?~~?

I dont know kanji, so It a bit difficult for me to translate, but I believe that it is claiming that you are having a problem connecting to the server for update? If you have a firewall this may be the issue, or if you are having net connection problems this could also be the problem. There is a retry button, ƒŠƒgƒ‰ƒC?B
Try this button or if you could press the error button on the far left for more info, that could help.

Im kinda outta form since my RL schedule being hectic this week and worse next week, so if this is way offbase, please let me know.

If anyone can read the kanji and actually translate it, could you also e-mail me the error number what this error says. My next project is to log all the error numbers and make a look-up guide for quick problem fixes. JYAN Ganbare~!!~
