Step38:

What happened to step 37?? well, step 37 was inputting a valid phone number. Since I dont have a screen for that we moved on to step 38, but step 37 was included in the last post Step26-36:

Here in step 38 the screen is confirming that all the information you have put in thus far is correct.

Click on the far left button to continue.

Step 39: CREDIT~~

Here you select what type of payment options you will be using. Make sure to select the credit card. ƒNƒŒƒWƒbƒgƒJ?[ƒh?B If you select anything else, I dont know how to fix it yet.

After you have clicked the radio button next to credit card,
click the far left button on the bottom to continue.

step 40:

Putting in your credit card information.
First Row: Credit Card Number
Second Row: Expiration Date on the card
Thrid Row: The name on the card. << You cant make this up.


After you have put in your information, click on the button in the middle to continue.

Step 41:

Confirming the credit card information you put in. If all looks to be in order then we can move on.

Step41-42: STOP~!!!!~

This is the MOST IMPORTANT screen throughtout the entire setup. The following information IS case sensitive. Here is your:

PLAYONLINE ID:: WRITE THIS DOWN Accurately.

PLAYONLINE PASSWORD:: WRITE THIS DOWN Accurately

PLAYONLINE E-MAIL ADDRESS:: WRITE THIS DOWN Accurately

PLAYONLINE E-MAIL PASSWORD:: WRITE THIS DOWN Accurately

Be sure to write this information down in your Instruction manual and guard it with your life. Also write it down in at least three different areas and put them in safe places. Too many people have lost this information and I still dont know to rescue this info from Square-Enix. Im still working on this.

When you are done writting this down and double checking that you have written it down correctly, then click on the middle button to continue on.

Step 44:

Here is your information again. This time they have the disclaimer that YES, this information is case sensitive so if they gave you "Gaba-Hey" as your Playonline ID, then this is very different from "gAbA-hEy" or even "GABA-Hey." This goes for all the information provided.

If you have gotten to this screen and you have not written this information down in at least four different places, please take the time to do this now.

When you are done writting and double checking your case sensitivity, then you can click on the far right button to continue.

Step 45: ~Again~

Again they provide you with your Playonline information. If you still have not written it down, this is your last chance. Please write this information down in multiple safe places.

Also with this screen is the option to have the software remember your passwords for your Play Online login and your E-Mail access. Even though this is a good idea to check the boxes, please write this down in safe places.

When you are done here, click on the far right button to finnish. This is the last step in the Setup. ~^_^~ But we are not done just yet.

Everything is done, Run the program~

After this the Playonline movie should run and you should be taken into the login screen. If it doesnt then find the playonline icon that was installed and double click that.

You should see the playonline movie.

After the video the Press Any Key should show up.~

User Select

This is your login screen. For anyone that has just installed Play Online, your name should be New User. I have changed mine to Akintunde. Click directly on the New User name to select that profile for login.

Profile Password:: Different~

~Not in the first run~
If you have created a Play Online Profile Password then this password box will come up.

If you have not done so, then this box will not come up.

Please understand that this password and your Play Online password are not the same. They are different. I am including this screen just in case you do create a profile password and this comes up the next time you attempt to log your profile.

Profile Login

Here is where the Play Online logging in acutally ocurrs. This may seem kinda long, but this allows multiple accounts to exist on the same system, but that is beyond the scope of guide.

To log in click on Login. ƒ?ƒOƒCƒ“?B

POL:ASSWORD

Not so fast~ Now you have to put in your PLAYONLINE password.
If you had selected the boxes during setup in step45, then the astrix will be greyed out. If they are not there, type in your PLAYONLINE password.

Click on the far left button to submit.

To note, if you input your PlayOnline password incorrectly three times, I believe it will give you an error and lock you out of logging in for a while. Im not sure how long though. Just wait for a while and try it again. If it doesnt work, then go back to one of the other palces that you wrote your PlayOnline password down and try that copy. You did write it down in multiple places, right?

Connecting and Updating

Here it will attempt to connect with the PlayOnline server. It will check for updates and offer to update the PlayOnline client if there are any updates available. The only problem is that you can't say no to the updates, and this was outlined in the PlayOnline EUA that you said yes to earlier on, so, well... update it.

POL Desktop

After all the updating for Play Online you should get here, the Play Online desktop. This desktop can be reconfigured, but again is beyond the scope of this guide, since our job is to get you up and running. Go to the option ƒK?[ƒ€ and click on it.
