damn....I have been defeated.....my score is 5416....time to turn off all other programs completely and run the benchmark....then I WILL beat you TED!

OMG!!!

I just ran the benchmark for the first time.
I was on the internet with AIM open and explorer first.
I got a 5146.
Then I turned all the programs off except the benchmark and I got a 5428!!!
I only use my PC for 3d animation.
I haven't ever played a game on it yet.

I think it might be a crime to not import the PC verion now.

That was just beautiful.

Here are my PC specs.
2.8 Ghz intel
2 gigs of RAM.
128 gig hard drive.
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600

Unfortuanatly I don't have broadband.
Only 56k, so that probably will slow the game down a bit online.
But, I've never seen such silky smooth graphics on a game.
The PS2 can't touch this...

My PC is just like yours, except an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and 1GB of RAM, practically same score though. I use my PC for 3D animation also.

That's really cool.

I use MAYA 4.5 unlimited.
I've been having alot of fun with fluid simulations.

My next project is gonna be very fantasy.
A story about a dark elf man, hunting a white elf female.
She makes the forest grow as he takes aim with his bow.
He shoots her in the heart and she falls to the ground.
After she dies, her spirit comes out of her body, and vaporized the dark elf with a beam of light from her hand.
I'm goann try to incorperate a few different types of particles, dynamics, fluid effects, cloth simulation, paint effects, hair, and of course some serious character rigging.

It'll probably take about a year to finish a minuite of the movie.
But, I got some good inspiration from FF.

Good to hear ya do 3d animation too. :spin:

That sounds pretty cool. I use 3DS Max 4, hopefully 5 tomorrow...
I don't do too much animation, mostly modelling....

by the way, to stay on topic, I got a score of 5873 on my benchmark! BEAT THAT TED!!!!

Good luck with that xenoneo, I'd like to see that when you're done, or at least done with part of it.

My specs are damn near identical except i'm a bit lower in Ghz, a bit, but i do have cable so that may help... as long as i end up with 4k + i'll be fine heh- i juss baught my G4 TI 4600 today and i'll install it this weekend since my game wun be here till weds or so. thanks for posting ur results and ur specs heh.

Ok for some reason i cant run the benchmark i keep getting: Error Code 7: DirectX8.1. I have directX 8.1 so i dunno whats wrong..:sweat:

nice, nice, nice....now I have the answers that I needed.

With 1 Ghz, 384 RAM, 20 GB free and a Geforce 2 GTS 32 RAM I have got nearly 1500.

So when I change the graphic card I will get 3000 as a minimum, I guess . But I don't know If I should buy a Ti 4200 or Ti 4600...could 4600 be to fast for my CPU?

hi i can unreal tournament 2003 with all the graphichs on high - very high

and its recommended for g force 4 i am using a g force 2
will i be able to run ffxi

well i have read of other members who have been able to play using a Gforce 2. thing is the rest of your comp better be pretty good in order for xi to run or look good. post your other specs and let others critique if you have further questions.
