and lol again at me sabotaging Armando. If anything, I take umbrage with the fact that according to Yyg, Armando scores higher on a quiz by not attending a session, that i can by attending it. Something is inherently wrong with this line of thinking.
Yay for arguing. You guys are taking this way too seriously.
And yes I'm competitive. I have no problem not getting XP other party members are getting based upon them scoring higher on a weekly quiz the DM feels like administering. I do have a problem with getting behind on XP gain with other party members, expecially when the XP gain is coming from not attending a session. Again, this is not fault to you Armando, people will miss sessions, it's inevitbale, and the session worked out well even in your abscense. The issue is the flaw in Yyg's logic and him increasing the XP disparity among party members...
Experience disparity is inherent in any campaign. You want to bridge the gap in xp? Do something spectacular or think wildly out of the box in such a way that it turns the tide on situation that seems otherwise cut and dry.
An enemy twice your size is rushing at you and Cid and you've got no real way of stopping its advance. Rather than bracing for impact or casting a spell that you know can't possibly kill him before he collides with you, why not swipe the Immovable rod from Cid's bag and activate it in front of you before taking a 5 foot step back? An idea like that would prompt me to not only reward you for creativity... but likely wave any rolls required to perform such a slight of hand move.
If this shit mattered, I'd be inclined to agree that it's unfair for a missing person to perform better than someone who was there. Here's my proposal:
The smallest of:
1) The average of the missing person's last 3 scores
2) The lowest average of the last 3 scores of the attending members
It takes the missing person's performance into account. It ensures he can't advance advance more being absent than anyone who's present. By capping to the lowest average instead of the lowest score, you avoid the problem of more people taking the quiz = higher odds there'll be a low score. Considering only the last 3 scores avoids the problem of the average becoming too hard to change after a large number of sessions.
Does the sandwich come with Yyg's pickle or do I have to put that on myself?
Branston Pickle is made from a variety of diced vegetables, including swede, carrots, onions, cauliflower and gherkins pickled in a sauce made from vinegar, tomato, apple and dates with spices such as mustard, coriander, garlic, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, nutmeg and cayenne pepper with sugar. In recent years high-fructose corn syrup has replaced sugar in the product sold in the American market. Sugar is still used in the British version.[2]
First off, wtf is swede, and why is it listed first in the vegetable list like it's the most common diced vegetable used in this concoction? Secondly, wtf is gherkins? This definitely looks like a UK delicassy. I can't wait to ty it! I dont think they'd have this in San Diego though...
And it goes great with a ham and cheese sandwich. Make sure it's a sharp, mature cheddar though. Also the ham we use here is what is known as "Wiltshire Cured Ham"
ewww ham... I was thinking that whoever played our character would represent the XP score we got. so if I Andy was played by Armando. I would score the same as him by default.
