We're skipping this week and going back to the biweekly deal we had before. I'm beginning to feel sick anyway. The scratchy throat, cough and congestion are just starting and it'll be on my full force by Saturday I'm sure. The original plan was bi-weekly with the occasional exception. This week is not an exception.

Nope its orange cordial diluted with hot water and a spoon of honey to give natural glucose. If you can get Orange Barley then thats even better as helps you relax. Robinsons Barley Water
The idea is drink plenty, piss plenty and it will work out of your system, the glucose helps put good sugars into your body to help give the energy to fight the infection. Can be any cordial just I prefer orange and was always given it as a kid when ill.
It sounds disgusting but heating something that contains glucose and/or fructose (the naturally occurring sugar in fruit, not the corn syrup stuff) helps your body digest it faster.
It's the same concept behind chicken soup basically. The body can more easily break down the protein if the food is already at body temperature due to the stomach's enzymes working best at that temperature.
Stuff like this goes back to pre-Roman times it's just only in the last century or so we've learned enough about the science behind it to realise "hey this shit actually does help you".
