      Yes, hooray, and nice to meet you!

      What's CMD guys, and if i took defensive combat at level 5, what would that add for me? I dont think I would but it does sound intriguing. Currently at level 5 I get 2 feats so i'm thinking about taking, spell penetration and greater spell penetration.

Currently at level 5 I get 2 feats so i'm thinking about taking, spell penetration and greater spell penetration. With both of these I'd get a +4 added on to my rolls to see if a mob can resist. So at level 5 their d20 roll would need to beat a 22 to resist.

      And I'll be going Dragon Disciple as my prestige class at level 10. >:O

        @Lyulf: Welcome!

        @Mezlo: CMD is Combat Maneuver Defense. Basically your AC against Trip, Disarm, Grapple, Sunder, Bull Rush, etc. The formula is 10 + Base Attack Bonus + STR Mod + DEX Mod + Size Mod. Defensive Combat Training lets you replace your BAB with your character level for your CMD. The main combat classes get one BAB per level, so they don't benefit. Wizards and similarly bad combat classes get 1/2 BAB per level. The higher your level, the higher the gap between your BAB and your level. At level 10 you'd have a BAB of 5, so Defensive Combat Training would be giving you a 5 more your CMD (+25% chance to dodge.) At level 20 your BAB would be 10, so you'd get 10 more CMD (+50% chance to dodge.) At level 5 your BAB is +2 so you'd be getting 3 more CMD (+15% chance to dodge.)

          Well, maybe not level 10, I'll probably take wizard higher to gain more spells...

          OK, I won't need that then. No one is foolish enough to get close enough to the NAW for any of these attacks. They don't want to get blown up and I don't blame them...

            Re: Bag of Holding. There's this 4chan thread I read in 2009 and saved to my computer about your most memorable pen and paper game quotes. One of them in particular always stood out to me:

            ". . .You know, there's a body in my bag of holding (with gentle repose cast on it) and I have no idea where it's from."

            Party and DM spend five minutes reviewing six level's worth of adventures, cannot for the life of them figure out where the body came from.

            "I don't know apples from adjectives but I'll suck your dick for fifty bucks" came in close second.

              Mez: You need at least one level in Sorc or Bard (or any of the other classes that can use Arcane Magic but don't need the spellbook) for RDD so I wouldn't go for it. IMHO if you want to make a battlemage take a single level in Fighter and go Eldritch Knight. You only lose out on 2 levels worth of spell progression but gain a nice chunk of BAB and your EK levels all count as Fighter levels.

              Arcane Archer is also an option for you as levels in Fighter, Ranger or Rogue should give you the prereqs for that. You get less spell progression but you have far more options for raining death from above.

                                Monk of the 4 winds is fine with me. It's not classified as a Prestige class... but more as an offshoot of Monk. I'll allow it. Just give me time to look over the details of it in case theres anything I want to impliment a house rule of limitation on.

                                With a DD in the party who doesn't need to waste turns self healing or strategizing... the rogues can be more rogue-like and the Wizard can maybe possibly kinda sorta remain in the backline and volley bolts and spells at the enemy from a distance.

                                Yay for traditional party formations!
