Question: Couldn't I have avoided dying yesterday by using Total Defense on my first turn? It's a standard action so I could've done that while moving.

Going by what Yyg was saying, I think the crit may well have one shot you anyway so I'm honestly not sure...

Sorry Armando died. Glad I was amazing, and ruining things. Sorry I missed it.

You and Mezlo were the only people to do anything useful in the entire session:

Cid didn't buy a ranged weapon and in the one combat encounter we had was a purely ranged fight.

Armando was at 0 HP for most of the session becuase Yyg wouldn't let me force your character to tank.

I rolled horribly for pretty much every single skill or damage roll that would be of ANY use to the party.
