    - Check off the boxes next to each of you class-specific skills

    Cleric Class Skills
    The cleric's class skills are Appraise (Int), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (history) (Int), Knowledge (nobility) (Int), Knowledge (planes) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Linguistics (Int), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).
    - Mark the weight of your possessions in the spaces provided next to them... as well as their location on you (eg: back, worn, pouch... etc)

    - Place your skill ranks

    Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.
    - Fill in your "Speed" and "Armor Type" boxes on the sheet. I believe that since you're a Dwarf, your land speed is 20ft but is never reduced due to your armor type or burden. Your Armor type is Medium.

    - Lastly... list off your racial traits in the abilities section. As a dwarf you get the following:

    Darkvision: Dwarves can see in the dark up to 60 feet.

    Defensive Training: Dwarves get a +4 dodge bonus to AC against monsters of the giant subtype.

    Greed: Dwarves receive a +2 racial bonus on Appraise skill checks made to determine the price of nonmagical goods that contain precious metals or gemstones.

    Hatred: Dwarves receive a +1 bonus on attack rolls against humanoid creatures of the orc and goblinoid subtypes due to special training against these hated foes.

    Hardy: Dwarves receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.

    Stability: Dwarves receive a +4 racial bonus to their Combat Maneuver Defense when resisting a bull rush or trip attempt while standing on the ground.

    Stonecunning: Dwarves receive a +2 bonus on Perception checks to potentially notice unusual stonework, such as traps and hidden doors located in stone walls or floors. They receive a check to notice such features whenever they pass within 10 feet of them, whether or not they are actively looking.

    Weapon Familiarity: Dwarves are proficient with battleaxes, heavy picks, and warhammers, and treat any weapon with the word “dwarven” in its name as a martial weapon.

    Languages: Dwarves begin play speaking Common and Dwarven. Dwarves with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Giant, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Terran, and Undercommon.

    And add your spells and abilities that you get for being a Level 1 Cleric.

      So my buddy Adam and I messed with Traipse last night to try and learn some of the tricks to the program. Here's what I learned:

      - I learned how to pull up maps on the fly

      - I learned how to use the Fog of War feature

      - I learned how to place/move/alter player icons on the map

      - I learned how to remove a map (harder than you'd think)

      - I learned how to save and load the xml file for maps

      - I coded in a boot password to kick people out

      - I set admin passwords and player passwords for entry into the server

      - I edited the .ini file to suit the needs of our campaign (still working on that one... it's kinda buggy)

      - I learned how to place and use dungeon tiles to customize an ad-hawk area

      - I learned how to use the custom d20 dice rolling feature (awesome btw)

      - I learned how to customize the UI (not hard)

      That being said... there are still some things I would like to work out... but for the time being... I've got enough mastered to run the campaign on Saturday without incident.

        How much of this software do we need to learn as players? Because I haven't touched it since I confirmed that I could load it and get into the test server someone set up.

            All you need to learn is what I'll be showing you on Saturday. I you'd like to get a head-start learning some stuff on your own, feel free to mess around with it a little bit.

            As players, you'll only have access to the "Whiteboard" and "Miniatures" tabs for the map. The rest of them will be locked from your use.

            Above the chat bar, you'll find a row of dice. Clicking on them will automatically roll the die in the chat log for all to see. Any attempt to simply type out a roll will be met with the message "Fake Roll".

            Using the whiteboard tab, you can draw on the map to show movement directions to me... circle things... and basically use it like tha football coach would to call plays. It's there for you guys. You can delete anything you write on it by hovering the mouse over your lines, right clicking and selecting to delete them.

            We'll be using Skype... so the chat box will rarely be used for anything besides dice rolls. However... there is a whisper function that you can use to communicate to an indivisual player... or to me without the others knowing.

            The node tree to the left of the screen holds a lot of useful info that you guys can feel free to experiment with on your own. Editing it and adding nodes to it is still foreign to me... so you're on your own. What I do know is that it facilitates the option to code in elaborate dice roll macros.

            Any tutorials and how-to instructions can pretty much be found in the node tree. Open it up... mess around... delete what you won't need. It's a lot more cluttered than you'd think.

              You can also type something like [2d6+1] into the chat and it'll do the rolls and calculation for you.

              • Re: D&D

                First (iirc) you need to enable the d20 roll set. I don't remember offhand how to do that, though.

                You may not need to do anything at all... but I know I activated it just to be on the safe side.

                There are advanced rolls that you can do as well. You can look those up in the node tree as well. For instance:

                [4d6.takeHighest(3)] would roll 4d6, drop the lowest and combine the remaining 3 for your total.

                The math will appear in the chat log like this after you input your formula:

                Yyg: [4d6.takeHighest(3)] -> [6,5,5] = (16)

                Other dice coding options:

                Options are:

                ◦ takeHighest(X) – take highest X rolls
                Example: [10d10.takeHighest(4)] – takes highest 4

                ◦ takeLowest(X) – take lowest x rolls
                Example: [10d10.takeLowest(4)] – take lowest 4

                ◦ minroll(X) – minimum low range
                Example: [10d10.minroll(4)] – no die roll lower than 4

                ◦ extra(X) – roll an extra die when roll greater or equal to X
                Example: [10d10.extra(9)] – roll an extra die when a die roll is 9 or higher.

                ◦ open(X) – same as extra but roll extra dice until a die is not greater or equal to X (even the extra roll).
                Example: [10d10.open(9)] – roll extra dice until a die roll is not 9 or higher.

                ◦ each(X) – apply X value to all dice
                Example: [10d10.each(2)] – add 2 to every die roll

                I personally like extra(X) as a command to use when performing attack rolls. Say you wield a weapon that has a chance for a crit on 19-20. If you input:

                [1d20.extra(19)]

                You'll get:

                [1d20.extra(19)] -> [19] = (19)

                Which constitutes a "Threat to Crit"... upon which you would normally roll a second d20 to find out if ou did in fact crit. But hey! This code does that for you.

                [1d20.extra(19)] -> [19] = (19) -> [1d20] -> [16] = (16)

                Makes sense?

                ---------- Post added at 12:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:48 PM ----------

                In addition. Say it's the beginning of combat and you need to roll for inititive. You can type out a simple code to auto-add your inititive bonus to your roll. For instance:

                [1d20+3] -> [16+3] = (19)

                Clever.

                But say you don't want to have to type these all out longhand every time you wish to make one of these rolls. You'll have to play with it a little... but I know that you can go into the node tree and code in the longhands of these so that they're only a mouseclick away. Think Macro Coding.

I'd like to add orc and goblin if i can get 2.
