Also I put my Skype details into my profile for if anyone wants to contact me (and I remember to log in). Remember to avoid calling after 0000-0100 GMT (unless it's an emergency) otherwise my family will get annoyed at me talking all night.
Speaking as someone not involved, I'd kinda like to hear the story.
I think the story is going to end up in this thread one way or another. I'm leaning towards waiting until Saturday, but I'm not particularly fussed about it one way or the other.

Here you go. Spoilered for the courtesy of those who don't want to know until Saturday.
The beginning
How they all met
The party starts out in a small city off the east coast of the main continent called “Ocean's Edgeâ€.
After both of their lives have been met with disaster and everyone they know killed, Vince and Mez have both migrated to the coastal city to start fresh and hopefully find some work. Lili, the ever-opportunist that she is… never fails to scope out the fresh meat as it comes rolling into town. From her usual spot near the bar, she couldn’t help but size up the two weather-beaten wanderers. Alone, exhausted and clearly not from around here.
Lili: “They should be easy enough marks. Hell, I know I can fetch at least a few gold for that crossbow alone.â€
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Graeme and the other noteworthy and upstanding swordsmen in town had been gathered by the guard. The duke himself had called this gathering to give Graeme and the others the opportunity to spearhead their own task forces of able-bodied townsfolk to undertake a personal mission. With most of the guard still up north… recruited in anticipation of another war… the Duke had found himself at a loss for sword arms. Luckily for him, his city has been home to a wayward Paladin for a few weeks now. War tends to make pilgrimages a tad difficult these days, after all.
As per his summons, each task force was also granted the aid of one of the Clerics of (insert Armando’s deity here) from the allied lands to the South. Included among them was (adjective adjective adjective stuff stuff) named (Armando’s Character) who, along with Graeme, set the foundation of Task force II.
3 team leaders as well as Graeme were assigned and along with the Captain of the guard, rallied in the city square to make the public announcement.
Captain Ramos: “HEAR YE! Attention, citizens and visitors alike! The Honorable Duke Elron is recruiting any and all able-bodied persons to aid him in a special mission! The Duke’s daughter has gone missing and has quite possibly been kidnapped! As many of you well know, Lady Claire is as fragile and defenseless as she is kind! Any and all who join with us shall be handsomely rewarded for their efforts! Those of you with enough bravery to spare, I ask that you step forward and make yourselves known!
The words echoed in Kal’s head as downed his ale and hurried to the square. This city was starting to get boring after-all. With all the action on the front lines, there hadn’t been much use for a mercenary these days. Considering politics isn’t exactly Kal’s favorite subject, he would just as soon not get involved with the war. Glory doesn’t put a roof over your head or food in your stomach. “Handsomely rewarded†he repeated. “That’s all you had to sayâ€. This would be easy money and for once he wouldn’t even have to work alone.
And so, amidst the crowd of nearly 200… the party stood together for the first time, none knowing the others even existed.
Captain Ramos: “Who among you will heed the call to arms!?â€
A troubled home life eventually lead Vince to a life on the road where he quickly fell in with a band of brigands. There he learned much about life, people, swordplay and a few other things besides. A particularly bad run-in with the law left Vince without a band and seeking new employment opportunities.
I can already see an opportunity to jump the rails. I don't intend to, but the opportunity is definitely there and it wouldn't be out of character to do so. Saturday needs to hurry up and get here.
