I'll look it up in a second. I have that book here somewhere.

Being an Outsider alone is game breaking really. There's a very good reason why Deva were pretty much nerfed into the ground in order to make them a core race in 4th.Edition.

So claimed every Greek woman with a strange sexual taste. Caught with a bull? No, that was Zeus. Grinding on a swan? Seduced by Zeus. Fetish for golden showers? Zeus did it. etc etc.
This makes so much sense. It's like the classical version of "Simpsons did it."

Nah, it'd be mythical if the Pantheon gods went like "Titans did it." I mean, the Simpsons are already fiction.

So, are we going to start a seperate thread for PbP? I want to start talking to this chick we saved and get more info. i think alot of these discussions can take place during the week online so when we get online saturday we'll have some direction. It would save time, while giving us something during the week. It can take place in an organized fashion. We could keep all the dialogue going in turns, similar to combat, when it comes to questioning NPCs. We can talk amongst ourselves online until we determine what direction we want to take. Thoughts? Cid was the only one that had an issue with this sort of thing initially, but we never really heard anything else about it. Do you still have problems with this sort of thing Cid?

Cid had some valid concerns about it... and I'm not sure how effective it would be. If we did it turn based, as you propose... it would likely move at a snails pace if someone were to not log on here for days... like say... myself.

IMHO, if even one person in the group has valid reservations for not doing something, I'd rather not do it at all. The experience is for everyone and should cater to everyone.

I personally prefer roleplaying live and not via PBP. A conversation is not intended to be dissected and planned out. It is supposed to be ad-hoc and inprov based on your ability to play to your character's personality. It's supposed to be a challenge... not a discussion of "what if I say this?" or "how about if you say this... and we good cop/bad cop em?".

I don't feel like typing up a long-winded explanation again, so the nutshell version is this:
PbP and tabletop are two very different beasts, and I'd like there to be more to our Saturday sessions than just combat encounters.

Should've taken one level in Cleric, then he could've been a Luchador Priest. No, I'm not talking about Chrono Cross or Nacho Libre, this shit is for real. His name translates roughly to "Priest Storm" or "Father Storm" and he needed the money to support an orphanage.

Also reminds me of El Grapadora ("The Stapler/Pinner") from The Angry Beavers, because both Los Tiburon and El Grapadora have the wrong prefix for their plurality/sex. I remember one of the episodes Dagget was watching lucha libre and you could hear "Podrás ser el Duende Verde del Dolor, pero yo tengo las Piernas Del Poder!" ("You may be the Green Goblin of Pain, but I have the Legs of Power!") and then Grapadora crushed the Green Goblin between his thighs.

And apparently masks are a big deal:
During their careers, masked luchadores will often be seen in public wearing their masks and keeping up the culture of Lucha Libre, while other masked wrestlers will interact with the public and press normally. However, they will still go to great lengths to conceal their true identities; in effect, the mask is synonymous with the luchador. El Santo continued wearing his mask after retirement, revealed his face briefly only in old age, and was buried wearing his silver mask.

With the importance placed on masks in lucha libre, losing the mask to an opponent is seen as the ultimate insult, and can at times seriously hurt the career of the unmasked wrestler. Putting one's mask on the line against a hated opponent is a tradition in lucha libre as a means to settle a heated feud between two or more wrestlers. In these battles, called luchas de apuestas ("matches with wagers"), the wrestlers "wager" either their mask or their hair.[12]

"In a lucha de apuesta (betting match), wrestlers make a public bet on the outcome of the match. The most common forms are the mask-against-mask, hair-against-hair, or mask-against-hair matches. A wrestler who loses his or her mask has to remove the mask after the match. A wrestler who loses their hair is shaved immediately afterward."[13] If the true identity of a person losing his mask is previously unknown, it is customary for that person to reveal his real name, hometown and years as a professional upon unmasking.
Lucha Libre is serious business. /Mexico
