Update 3.10 Troubles - PlayStation Vita Message Board for PlayStation Vita - GameFAQs

To clarify, all cards outside of the 32GB card still function properly after the update. With the 32GB card, however, your Vita will now crash, reboot, crash and reboot indefinitely until you use a smaller card.

I have a 32GB card that's almost full. Updated to 3.10 with no problems last night, so it's not the 32GB card configuration specifically. Might be some combination of things though.

I have a 32GB and I'm having no issues. Taking an entire two minutes to Google the issue reveals that it's only being reported on GameFAQs and N4G, the most reliable bastions of gaming journalism on the internet. And that the people reporting those issues are using the 3G Vita. Why you would waste money on that feature is anyone's guess though.

From what I can glean from the crap in the threads:

• It affects the 1000 Model that has 3G. 1000 Wi-Fi only or Vita 2000 in general is not affected.
• It's nowhere near as widespread as the only freeze issue.
• It sucks for the people affected by it, but just seems to be an issue with the OS and Memory Card management software not communicating properly with the 32GBs.
• It doesn't brick the Vita. It is playable without the Memory Card in it.

So to sum up? I think I'll go play Danganronpa while trying to work out why the fuck you would subject us to a GameFAQs forum.

On Sony's Online store, the 3G/WiFi is being sold at the same price as the WiFi only, and the WiFi only models are sold out. Might want to keep in mind that promotions or deals will often drive a consumer to make the most sensible of choices when purchasing an item.
