The US doesn't handle sexuality very well, that much is true, but the game is still porn in the same way that Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball is porn.

It is not porn. Porn is only about sexual themes and uncensored sexual content. If this was actual porn, it wouldn't have been localized, and wouldn't have received a Teen rating by the ESRB, mew. By that logic, you might as well call sumo wrestling and olympic beach volleyball as porn. But sex is always a controversial subject no matter how natural and innocent the body is, so most refuse to think outside the tightly wrapped culture/ethics they follow.
