Liking that jazzy track they put in. EAD looks like their still on top of their game here.

    Bravely Default

Worth noting that this is the western version of the game is the special edition Japan just got recently. New content. I think the EU version comes out in a couple months with an art book and OST. US has to wait til Q1, but we're drowing in RPGs as it is. It also features Dual Audio.

    Kirby

    OMG kitty goomba is adorable.

And I absolutely LOVE the changes coming in the new Zelda, omg - finally, non-linear progression in a Zelda game. This is *huge* and I hope they keep doing this from now on.

I don't know if I like the means by which they're doing it and I'm hoping there are alternative ways to complete a dungon, but the idea of a rental shop works for now, though I do hope there's a way to permanently earn the item.

If Nintendo is looking to shake up Zelda like this, though, perhaps after years of beggine we'll see real sequence breaking back in Metroid again.

I'm surprised that Nintendo didn't mention the fact that the latest Wii U update (released yesterday) also allows Off-TV play for Wii games.

For serious? That's freaking awesome, actually. That'd make me more strongly consider a Wii U.

            Yes, for serious.

Still no account system, otherwise I'd have gone and bought a Wii U today.

Your "unified account principle" would be a lot easier to take seriously if was based on Steam.

Sadly, its based on Sony, which claims to be unified, but isn't.

I only care about what platforms let my digital content move forward. Physical BC is a bonus.

Sorry, I wasn't aware Steam and PlayStation Network were the only places that have unified accounts.

Oh wait, they're not. XBL, iOS, Google Play, Origin, and everyone else not called Nintendo do too.

As for unified accounts, last time I checked, I didn't have to ask Sony "mother may I?" when I bought my Vita in order to download my PSP and PS1 purchases on it (let alone connect it to my PSP, unless I wanted to transfer some save data over for some reason). The only trouble I had at all with the process (and here I use "trouble" with a lowercase "t") was with some PS1 games not being flagged as working on PSV and having to side-load them from my PS3, but that's due to Sony's silly oversight process, and not down to the actual account system. Otherwise I can log into PSN from my web browser, PSP, PS3, or PS Vita (or all of them at the same time, if I want) and make purchases that are visible and accessible to the appropriate machines.

Actually, with as jacked up as the PS3 PSN store has been lately, I've been buying most of my content through the web store and setting it for remote download on my PS3 just out of convenience.

Valve doesn't hassle me when I set Steam up on another PC, either.

                ---

                Back on topic:

                * Not sure what's going on with Donkey Kong getting delayed. Retro's a good developer, and you can't imagine there being too many technical hurdles or learning curve for design when they already made the previous DKCR on the Wii.

                * Super Mario World looks very good. "Probably" won't fix what ails the Wii U in terms of hardware sales, but definitely looks like a title worth owning for the system if you've already bought one.

                * I'm super-surprised that Bravely Default didn't get a title change for release outside of Japan.
