Well it seems that is the case, mew.
Unlike the FF rpgs as of late,that have become less and less like the golden age of rpgs, Tales holds onto the essences of mewiful rpg fundamentals. Great characters, great story, great journey, greater gameplay (ya, I found that FF rpg are really behind Tales series in many aspects, including character interaction, battle systems, co-op, replay value, world design, etc.). And Xillia has two main characters to choose from (which adds more perspective choices, main character choices and stuff, while both still having relevance in the plot. And this feature is the next best thing to character creation).
Having done more research, I'm really amazed how Xillia is really one of the few that authentically surpasses FF rpgs without abandoning its fundamentals. (bad producer, director,writers are partially to blame for FF rpgs downfall.) Xillia looks to save the genre
