People are only hyping it because of the graphics. It stack ups to nothing more than a gimmick of scripted events and senseless action, mew.
And the gameplay itself could be just like how Aliens Colonial Marines led people to believe the launch version would feel like it did in the promo vids.

I saw some serious evolution in combat and gameplay in that trailer for an RPG franchise that have pretty much remained unchanged for the past 15 years now. Speaking of dramatic chagnes to combat, have you LOOKED at Lightning Returns? It's actually looking really, really good - 3 separate ATBs that you can switch between on the fly by changing your costumes (yay X-2 throwback?) as well as total free movement and action-style controls during combat - you press X once, you swing once. You hit it multiple times, you do a combo etc.
Still not entirely sold on the plot, but what I read on IGN the other day makes me want to give it a shot - it's the last one, so may as well at this point lol - I have the platinums for XIII and XIII-2.Comment
