As for her . . . I really don't know what to think any more. She's certainly active enough to be a strong fighter, I'd imagine, but . . .

I mean, at least you get to actually play as the Villager in his game. The Trainer would really be more like, well, Ganondorf or Dedede. Leaner, granted, but from what I hear, just as mean.

I'm glad Villager made it in, but he looks like a troll character being able to catch any projectile and hurl it back. If they have an adventure mode this time, though, I fully expect that anyone that hits reset on his chapter triggers the emergence of Mr. Resetti.

Oh, and Wii Fit Trainer is downright heartless at times, she doesn't care about anyone's self-esteem.

Retro Studios confirmed that Kenji Yamamoto (Super Metroid, Prime Trilogy, DKCR) will be returning alongside David Wise to compose for DKC Tropical Freeze. I sctually thought he did a great job filling Wise's shoes last time, so this is like the best of both worlds.

You know, I'm now wondering if the Wii Fit Trainer will get to fight the Pokémon Trainer. Also, hoping for it.

Also hoping that we maybe see a Trainer from Jhoto or perhaps Unova this time. Maybe Kalos if they're vigilant about promoting X and Y.

(Also, I just noticed that said Pokémon games don't have "Version" appended to the end of them. Interesting.)

Also, I just read that there are Horde battles in Pokemon X/Y. This is to say while you're fight particular types of pokemon there may be times pokemon of that type or a similar type will add themselves to the enemy side of a random encounter. You won't be able to call more Pokemon out to fight in these battles, though.

Sounds like it could be a pain sometimes and a nice little boost to the EXP grind in others.

Not as scary as FOEs linking in battles in Etrian Odyssey, though.

They don't have "Version" appended to the end of the Japanese titles.

Also Fairy Type has been confirmed as super effective against dragons and that older Pokemon like Clefable, Gardevoir and Azumarril will end up with it. It's going to hit the metagame pretty hard given that it will finally give Pokemon like Kingdra a weakness to exploit, it will make Ice an even more questionable typing (Both offensively and defensively) and it will make Azumarril into one of the best revenge killers in the entire metagame, especially if a Fairy-Type priority attack is released.

It also raises massive questions about IV distribution and the Hidden Power attack.

Is this where we talk about E3? Ugh, did you see that Battlefield 4 demo? The whole fucking building fell over.

Destiny looked interesting, but as soon as they started showing more characters it looked like an uninspired mash-up of Halo and Mass Effect. It looks good, but still feels uninspired. I think its success is really going to depend on whether or not it can take these things from other games and own them on their own terms.

Titanfall looks like a great idea, but I feel like it wont work as well in practice. Boiled down, the game looks like a futuristic Call of Duty with only a single kill-streak reward, however fun it may be. I think they're going for the Battlefield-esque vehicle and on-foot style game-play, but it remains to be seen if they can create that or if it feels more like Call of Duty in two different sizes.

This is mostly for Jarre's benefit but the price for the PS4 in the UK is actually looking pretty decent all things considered.

Before Tax, the PS4 in the US will cost £256 ($400). Knock off VAT (20%) from the price of the PS4 in the UK and it is £291 or $455. The overall difference is £35 or $55. Sales Tax in the US is anything from 1-10% plus there may well be other costs involved on a state by state basis.

Once you factor in fuel costs, warehouse space, rates etc, etc. in the UK, a difference of £35/$55 for the price of the console isn't that bad compared to how bad we've had it in the past. Don't get me wrong, I do hate that we are still being gouged but it could be a hell of a lot worse.

Basically the effective price difference may well be less than the cost of a brand new game to go with that PS4, depending on how much a US State wants to gouge people on tax and other fees on electronics.

LOL @ Wii Fit Trainer. That's some PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale level of janky roster choice. It's funny, but cringe-worthy.

I doubt Titanfall will show up on Steam (it's published by EA so I'll say it's coming to Origin).

Anecdotally, I'm still seeing a lot of social media ripples from Monday's sheninigans for Microsoft and Sony. Seeing a number of my die-hard Xbox friends say they're only getting a PS4 over Facebook and Twitter, though there are a few Xbox holdouts and OCD completionists. Still, some of the people I'm seeing realignment on are heavily invested in the Xbox ecosystem, so it's not just the people on the less affluent only-buys-one-game-a-year fringe that Microsoft is losing thus far in this console cycle. One entire circle of my friends on Facebook looks likely to completely switch over (to the point where they're talking about friends lists, etc.). I don't know how prevalent this is, however; I'm sure there are plenty of Xbox 360 owners who just aren't clued in yet - and may never be until they take the box home with them and find out for themselves.
