What I don't get is why BBQ had to derail the thread into this when someone is getting excited about a new IP
Its not a new IP, its two old D'n'D brawlers from the 90s in one package. These are the games that not only inspired Dragon's Crown, but are by the same creator. In fact, its fair to say Capcom is getting these out now ahead of Dragon's Crown to capitalize on the interest in it.

And this is J9 we're talking about - who hypes anything as the greatest thing ever and then never plays it, most of which are mediocre at best. You, however, seem to keep missing the idea that I'm actually quite okay with the Tower of Doom reissue. I simply stated its thunder was stolen at PAX - which is totally true by popular consensus. You're the one who just claimed it was all nostalgia.

Actually I agree with BBQ on this. I'm happy to see Tower of Doom/Shadows of Mystara get re-released, but the DuckTales announcement really did cast a long shadow.

So long as Capcom doesn't pull the must-be-online-to-play BS they did with Final Fight Double Impact and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, I'm totally OK with this re-release.

Did you see the BS announcement (or lackthereof?) about Mega Man? Apparently they're *still* "in talks" internally about a potential upcoming game to mark the 25th anniversary...

Only thing they could do that would make me happy at this point is just sell the IP to Inafune, but I get the feeling even it was offered to him he'd refuse it. I'm sure he's done with that series in every sense (unless he felt compelled to do MML3 but we all know that's never going to happen).

Dragon's Crown is coming not long after D&D Chronicles, but I wouldn't say there's an abundance of brawlers that aren't dynasty warriors, and two recent brawlers are exclusive to Xbox360 (Guardian Heroes and Phantom Breaker). Well I guess Ninja Gaiden Razor's Edge counts as a brawler, it does have online co-op mode with 100 missions.
For the record there really are only two Sailor Moon beat-em ups, one was arcade only and the other SNES/Genesis, I would love to see the two released on PSN though, I liked them.

I was joking with a friend, that someone should start a kick starter, in where they raise enough money to buy the Mega Man IP, in it's entirety from Capcom.

I doubt Inafune could do much to better Megaman given how out there he's been of late.

Just looking at DuckTales Remastered, I'm inclined to thing WayForward could do a better job of it - particularly given their track record with the IPs and original retro games they've made.
