The situation isn't much better here in Canada. We can get some pretty fast internet, but you really got pony up the cash and we STILL get arbitrary bandwidth caps. What's really shocking is the control of content. One of the examples Bill's guest cited was about football in Kansas and how Comcast has control over that content online (ESPN or something I think not sure what exactly but it was NFL content) and that because they control the distribution, anyone paying for Google's service has to pay 2~3x as much for access to that content, or some nonsense like that. The media control and concentration of that control is seriously getting out of hand but that's another topic altogether.
