Buy Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Comes with Pre-Order Cyborg Ninja Download Code) (PS3)
Well the demo was region locked and people had hoped that it would just apply to the demo but it has more or less been confirmed by import websites that yes, the game is indeed region locked for the PS3.
Demos being region locked is one thing: Developers lose money on demos and will often tie them in with regional marketing and in where regions where people don't download demos then what's the point? You can just not bother releasing it there and jut show them as at gaming conventions or something and save some cash.
Entire games being region locked is another because it is based purely on two things: greed and anticompetitive ideals. Why bother actually trying to compete when you can take the shitty way out and take advantage of regional currency differences and dictate the prices yourself instead of actually you know, being competitive in a competitive market (Everyone can thank Atlus for opening those floodgates by the way).
In a market where consoles are being pushed out by Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops and things like the "Steambox" are popping up, now is the time where developers and publishers need to be showing us why we should be buying their shit on consoles instead of getting the portable version which costs far less money and with the advances in mobile gaming hardware, is just as good at the console version (AC3, Uncharted and Black Ops 2 on the Vita and Mario Kart and "New" Super Mario Bros on the 3DS are great examples). or what about just getting the game off Steam which is far cheaper and a hell of a lot more convenient, especially since with Big Screen, there is nothing stopping me from linking my PC to the TV in the living room and using that as a glorified console.
