Great news!! It's releasing in February!! This gives FFXIV ARR more opportunity to get more fans to try it for at least a couple of months, and even continue playing it after they completed Lightning Returns.

You're assuming FFXIII has fans that desperately want to play it at the expense of an MMORPG, assuming they even want to play an MMORPG.

I'd rather play neither. Final Fantasy isn't exactly the dominant, genre-defining brand it used to be. I'll keep new FFs and IPs in mind, but then, they just announced a Deus Ex game for iPad yesterday so I'm not entirely convinced SE has its priorities in order.

At least from the mmorpg genre standpoint, FFXIV ARR will be a success just like FFXI Online, and eventually even more so.

That's so horrible, especially considering that when she was first revealed way back in 2009 I believe, everyone's initial reaction was that she looked like a female Cloud... and there they go and give her the SOLDIER Uniform...

The should have just skipped more FFXIII games and gone right to the live action movie.

Here, I'll cast Lightning right now:



Kristen Stewart is just as dull and expressionless. And her movies are just about as good as FFXIII.

I was going to cast Hercules as Snow, but I forgot my "live action" premise. Still might be better than the version in the game, though.

Troy Baker actually looks somewhat like Snow so it could be plausible to just use his voice actor for a theoretical live action FFXIII
