  • Here we go again - MGS film adaptation

Metal Gear Solid Hollywood film adapation is a thing -Destructoid

Uncharted's movie just lost a second director and I think Wahlberg is out as well.
Shadow of the Colossus died quietly.
    Resident Evil still gets movies.
    Halo adaptation still vapor
    Metroid adaptation never happened

Metal Gear Solid was something Tom Cruise wanted to produce and star in before, but that went nowhere.

Kojima's wishlist is to get people like Chris Nolan, Ben Affleck, Hugh Jackman and Matt Damon on the project.

I honestly don't see the point. MGS was already better than a movie.

Has there ever been a video game movie that wasn't completely terrible? None come to mind.

Depends on what standard you're using.

I'd still say it was Mortal Kombat. By Hollywood and game standards it captured the right amount of campiness and was largely faithful to its source material for its time.

Tomb Raider was all right, though to be fair I never played the source material. >_>

In that case the first Resident Evil movie was pretty good as well.

PS > Also Fahrenheit. It was made by Quantic Dream but it was a pretty good movie.

                ...what? <_<
